Announcing our First-Ever Macaroni Meet-Up!


Come Join MK and La Petite Party and Have Some Fun Dr. Seuss Style!

I am excited to share with you that we are working with La Petite Party of Thousand Oaks to bring you our first ever MACARONI MEET-UP!!  On Monday, September 6th (Labor Day), we will be checking out the new PBS children's show "The Cat in the Hat Knows a Lot About That." There will be games, snacks, goodies, and more!  We would love it if you could join us!  We'll be there from 1:00-3:00 pm! Please tell your friends!

Please note, there are a limited number of people who can attend.  If you would like to come, please RSVP to me at lisabg@macaronikid.com by Friday at 5:00 pm with the number of adults and the number of children you would like to bring. La Petite Party is located at 53 Moody Court in Thousand Oaks (near T.O. Blvd and Hodencamp).

The Home Depot's Kids Workshops offer useful projects including the creation of toolboxes, fire trucks and mail organizers, as well as more educational projects, such as a window birdhouse, bughouse or Declaration of Independence frame kit. The workshops teach children do-it-yourself skills and tool safety, while at the same time helping to instill a sense of accomplishment. Additionally, this fun time allows for quality one-on-one time between adults and children.  In addition to the newly constructed project kit, each child receives a kid-sized orange apron, similar to The Home Depot associates' aprons, and an achievement pin. In the lab, sift and sort through sand to find hidden artifacts; weigh and examine your findings; analyze clues; or sculpt your own own artifact to take home.

The Kids' Adventure Garden (KAG) was designed as an educational garden for children.  The KAG is part of the 33-acre Conejo Valley Botanic Garden.  The KAG provides an exciting place for children to learn about nature and gardening.  The garden features a tree house, zoo garden, carnivorous plant bog, nature trail and more.  Docents are available.  Free.  The KAG is also available for private birthday parties (reservations and donation required).  Walking shoes suggested.  Closed during inclement weather.

Monday, September 6 - New Mothers Breastfeeding Support Groups

Bring your baby to these special groups to share and learn in a friendly supportive atmosphere. Discussions are facilitated by lactation consultants and broach many topics including postpartum adjustment, feeding, burping, sleeping, gas and colic, normal newborn behavior, soothing fussy babies and breastfeeding. Classes are organized by the age of your baby: 0-4 and 4-8 months. Expectant mothers are encouraged to attend a complimentary New Mothers Breastfeeding Support Group of the 0-4 month group prior to giving birth. Additionally, there is no charge for the first 0-4 month New Mothers Breastfeeding Support Group you attend with your baby.
