National Geographic Toys by Uncle Milton

Macaroni Kid Review: Wild Puzzles

August 16, 2012

This week as a part of our review of Uncle Milton's  toys, we checked out their National Geographic Wild Puzzles. As I mentioned last week, my daughter is a huge fan of puzzles and of animals. So, animals + puzzles? Winner!

Of the puzzles we checked out, our favorite was the Panoramic Puzzle (see above). Going from left to right, the puzzle becomes more challenging as the pieces decrease in size and increase in number but create one large puzzle when put all together. My daughter enjoyed being able to do the equivalent of 3 puzzles in 1.

We also enjoyed the Floor Puzzle and Foil Puzzle, which varied in challenge. The floor puzzles are for the younger crowd with only 46 pieces while the foil puzzle has 150+ pieces, making it more challenging for older kids!

As a parent, I liked that I was able to use the puzzle for an educational exercise. After we completed each puzzle, we headed to the computer and did a little research to learn more about each of these "wild" animals. After that, the kids colored their own version of each wild animal. It was a fun way to spend the morning!

Thanks Uncle Milton for keeping my kids busy on a HOT summer day!
