🎃 Pumpkin Carving + No- Carve Decorating Ideas

To carve or not to carve? That is the question - or you can do both! The big advantage of decorating instead of carving is that you can start earlier, take your time, and it's a great option for little ones. Once you cut into a pumpkin, it starts to deteriorate, so ideally you'd wait until the day of Halloween - but that's not always practical.

Plan ahead and think about how many pumpkins you'll tackle and how much time you want to spend. When Halloween falls on a school night, there may not be much time for carving between school, homework, dinner, and trick-or-treating - trust me, I've been there! Around here, October can also be surprisingly hot, so keep uncarved pumpkins in a cool, dry place as long as possible - and be mindful of nighttime critters that might find your pumpkin just as tasty as you do. 🐿️
