We can't think of a better way to pay tribute to the wonderful grandparents in our lives - and the lives of our children - than creating a Family Tree. It's a visual representation of your family and its history - a meaningful image for all generations. Making a family tree gives children the chance to think about where they came from and who they are. Receiving a family tree is sure to be a very special gift for the grandparents in your life on Grandparent's Day this September. National Grandparents Day is celebrated on the first Sunday of September after Labor Day.
This is an opportunity to let your kids creative juices flow. There are so many different ways to make a family tree.
Here are a few ideas to get you started:
- You can draw a simple tree and add photos and embellishments.
- Find a family tree scrapbook page at your local crafts store and add your photos and extras.
- Use colored paper and cut out shapes to add to a blank page then add photos.
- You could even create one on the computer.
