Fall Leaf Lacing Card Craft for Kids

A great craft for little ones or preschoolers

If you have little ones at home they likely love lacing and they haven't yet tried it's a great skill to develop and practice. It feels like fall has finally arrived! Here's a perfect activity to welcome Fall and practice those fun skills with this fall leaf lacing card craft.


Fall Leaf Lacing Card Craft

Materials needed:

  • Construction paper in brown, red, orange and yellow
  • Glue
  • Hole punch
  • Ribbon or string
  • Glue stick

Instructions:

  1. Draw or trace a tree trunk using the brown construction paper.
  2. Draw or trace some very colorful Fall leaves.
  3. Punch holes in the leaves - for younger children, punch larger holes.
  4. Show your children how to thread the ribbon through the leaves. Please Note: never leave children unattended with ribbon or string.
  5. Once the ribbon is through, tie a knot in the ribbon, and have your children glue the leaves to the tree. 

And once your done with this craft, have fun searching for leaves, and apples, and pumpkins, and everything else that is so festively Fall.
