Candy Corn Popcorn

By Heather Wirtz ~ Cranston/Kent County, RI October 27, 2011
Here is a super simple treat with only a few ingredients!  Even better, most people have these ingredients in their house this time of year!  Even if you are not a candy corn lover, I say give this a try!

You will need:

  • 4 - 5 cups of popcorn (I used microwave popcorn)
  • 1/2 cup candy corn
  • 1/4 white chocolate (optional)
  • 1/4 milk chocolate (optional)

Directions:

  • Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper.
  • Spread 4 - 5 cups of popcorn into a single layer on the pan.
  • Melt the candy corn in the microwave using 30 second intervals (be sure to use a microwave safe bowl).  Stir often until completely melted.
  • With a spoon, drizzle melted candy corn evenly over the popcorn.  Let harden, this will only take a minute.

  • Melt both kinds of chocolate using the same method as used to melt the candy corn.  Drizzle onto the popcorn (this step is optional).
  • Let completely harden.  Break apart into chunks and ENJOY!
