Rudolf the Red Nosed Reindeer Ornaments

DIY Christmas Ornaments Easy for Kids to Create

By Ann Becker, Stockton Macaroni Kid November 25, 2024

My sister came over with her kids last week for cousins and craft day! This week we made these easy Reindeer Ornaments with our kids ranging from ages 3-8.  They all had a great time making these. I have concluded that adding googley eyes to anything makes it much more fun!

Here is what you need:

  • 1 Mini Clay Pot
  • Brown Acrylic Paint
  • Foam Brush
  • 2 Googley Eyes
  • 1 Red Pom-pom
  • 1 Brown Chenille Stick - pipe cleaner or cut out from brown felt
  • Glue
  • String
  • Tape

First let the kids paint the clay pots brown with the foam brush, let dry.  Twist up the chenille stick until it looks like antlers and tape to the bottom opening of the clay pot. Add the string for hanging and let the kids glue on the googley eyes - best part, and red nose. Done! Now it's time to sing Rudolf the Red-Nosed Reindeer and hang him on the tree!
