This DIY Keepsake handprint flower pot is easy to make and budget friendly. Your kids will have fun making this craft to keep or give. It's a perfect gift for parent's grandparents, birthdays and holidays like Mother's Day and Father's day. For the past couple years my kids have made these handprint flower pots for both of their Grandmothers on Mother's Day.

Macaroni tip:  Add flowers or a nice plant to make this keepsake handprint flower pot and even more special gift

DIY Handprint Keepsake Flower Pot

Materials needed:

  • Clay flower pot
  • Acrylic paint
  • Paintbrushes
  • Pencil
  • Clear acrylic sealer in gloss or matte

Optional materials:

  • Potting Soil
  • Flowers
  • Plant - indoor, outdoor or succulent
  • Seed packet

How to:

  1. Trace your child's hands onto the flower pot.
  2. Help your child paint the flower pot and hand prints.
  3. Once the paint has dried, I would suggest spraying the flower pot with a clear acrylic sealer that would allow the flower pot to get wet without the paint fading or washing off.
  4. Optional:  Plant flowers or a plant in the pot for a finishing touch..

Keep or give as a gift!
