Make these cute spring / Easter cupcakes for your family. Welcome the birds back and the Easter holiday with these easy to decorate cupcakes.
DIY Spring Basket & Bird's Nest Cupcakes
Things you will need:
- Your favorite cupcake recipe
- Frosting
- Candy eggs - jelly beans or chocolate, whatever you like best!
- Candy birds - the marshmallow variety works great here!
- Candy handles - choose your favorite rope candy, licorice, etc. - I used fruit strip & cut into strips.
- Optional: Green food coloring
- Optional: Coconut

Directions:
- Bake cupcakes as directed and let cool.
- Frost cupcakes with your choice of frosting.
- Tint coconut green by adding a few drips of food coloring. I used a plastic bag to mix it.
- Add coconut for "grass" and add eggs on top.
- Put candy handle on basket or add bird to nest
