If you’re asked to bring something for a school holiday party, but you’re short on time, these Rudolph water bottles are kid pleasers and are fast and simple to make!
Materials:
Small bottles of water
Large googly eyes (2 for each bottle)
Red pom-pom (1 for each bottle)
Brown or gold pipe cleaners (2 for each bottle)
Instructions:
1. Using a glue gun, and a very small amount of glue (you don’t want the glue to melt the bottle), glue the eyes and pom-pom nose onto the bottle. It’s best to put the glue on the eyes and pom-pom, not the bottle, to avoid melting the bottle with the hot glue and tip. I laid the bottles down so the eyes and nose didn’t slide down, but it didn’t take long for them to “set”.
2. Wrap one pipe cleaner around the bottle neck, under the cap and twist in the center. These become part of the antlers. Cut another pipe cleaner in half. Wrap the half piece onto the middle of the pipe cleaner antler. Repeat for the other antler. Twist them around to make them look “antler-like”. Fold down the tips to round the sharp edges, if needed.
That’s it! The kids love them and it took you hardly any time.
Note: Remind the kids to remove the antlers before they drink.
