This smoothie is perfect to make anytime of year, but when it's springtime and you need a colorful "green" treat be sure to make this one. When I think of March, I think spring . . . green . . . and St. Patrick's Day! This protein-packed green smoothie is the perfect way to celebrate all the green things to come!
Yummy Green Smoothie
Ingredients
- 8 oz unsweetened almond milk
- 1 banana
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 avocado
- 2 tbsp almond or other nut butter
- 3 oz tofu
- 2 tbsp flax seed
- 1 handful of spinach
- 4 ice cubes
Directions
- Place all ingredients in a blender starting with the liquids, then soft and last add the ice.
- Blend for one minute
- Pour into a glass and enjoy!
