Valentine Themed Recipe For DIY Candy Bark

Make It, Give as Gifts or Enjoy It With the Family

By Sharon Rosenthal February 10, 2020

Candy Bark is easy to make and our “Valentine's Day” version combines red candies or sprinkles, candy hearts and chocolate into a very easy treat to make that is perfect for a Valentine's Day treat for teachers, friends or husbands.

MacKid Tip:  Change up the candy, colors and decorations to make for any holiday

INGREDIENTS

  • Candy Melts in whatever color you like. I used Light Cocoa and the pink was a watermelon flavor in this recipe.
  • Red and pink M&Ms
  • Sprinkles
  • Candy Hearts
  • Wax paper
  • Baggies with twist ties

HOW TO

  1. Melt the Candy Melts. Follow the package or I melted 1 bag at 50% power for 1 minute. Then I did three sessions of 30 seconds, and it was ready for me to use my spoon to mix it up and make it smooth.
  2. Spread the mixture onto a sheet of wax paper.
  3. Carefully press the M&Ms/sprinkles and candy hearts on the top.
  4. Let the Candy Bark harden and break into pieces, then separate and put into ziploc bags.
  5. Share with family and friends … they’ll feel LOVED that you did!
