Five Banana Chocolate Chip Bars Your Family will Love

My kids and husband are absolutely crazy about Bananas and I found this cool recipe a few weeks ago that I have been making once a week for snacks. I get about 24 bars out of this recipe and it usually lasts us the entire week.

Ingredients:

  • 5 very ripe bananas 
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup canola oil 
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 3/4 cup flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 cups mini chocolate chips. separated by  one cup each

How to:

  1. Heat oven to 350 degrees F. 
  2. Spray a 10x13 pan with non-stick spray and set aside
  3. In a small bowl add flour, baking soda, salt and cinnamon and whisk together, then set aside
  4. Peel bananas and mash well by hand and then set it to be mixed in your mixer until liquidy
  5. Using your mixer on medium setting add in brown sugar, oil, milk and eggs until combined. 
  6. Add in bowl with flour and mix well until well blended.
  7. Remove from mixer and fold in 1 cup of chocolate chips using a spatula
  8. Pour the batter into the prepared pan
  9. Use the second cup of chocolate chips and sprinkle on top of your pan
  10. Bake for 18-22 minutes, until a wooden toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. 
  11. Cool completely and cut into squares.
