It was just about nine months ago that my company CertifiKID — a website that offers discounts on kids' activities and family experiences (and that you might recognize from Shark Tank!) — acquired Macaroni KID.
The marriage of the two "KIDS" (as we call them) hasn't changed much for readers —this Macaroni KID edition still aims to be your No. 1 resource for family fun in your area!
But there have been a lot of exciting changes behind the scenes as the two companies have integrated and become the largest parent-focused digital media and advertising companies in the country, reaching millions of families nationwide.
One of those changes we are ready to unveil today ... and we're really excited about it!
It's our brand new Macaroni KID logo!
The new logo marries the two brands by incorporating the "KID" in Macaroni Kid in the same font and colors as CertifiKID, but keeps the original “Macaroni” font so it carries forward the brand value that has been built up over so many years.
However, we enhanced the “Macaroni” so it is more pronounced and sophisticated, which will have a bigger impact. We chose to make it the same color blue as the primary CertifiKID logo to create brand consistency across the two brands, while also giving the logo a more gender-neutral and inclusive feel. We incorporated the pink, which has been part of the Macaroni KID logo historically, in the dot of the “i”, the "I" in "KID", and in the publisher territory names which will go underneath for each local edition.
Macaroni KID is for all families, and we feel our new branding and logo reflect that.
