Bring you kids down for some old fashioned family fun at the Stagecoach Inn Museum in Newbury Park!  There are even more family fun activities and things to do with your kids now at the Museum.  Currently the Museum is open Wednesdays and Saturdays, but keep your eye out for occasional Fun Fridays!

Special Summer Saturdays: Kids Games & Tours-ongoing

The Stagecoach Inn Museum complex is a fantastic place to spend a Summer Saturday booting up fun for the whole family.  Visitors can explore the nature trail and step back in time learning about local history and beholding the beautifully antique decorated INN and other buildings representing Conejo Valley History.

Each weekend there will be a new surprise activity to enjoy! Have fun doing  Gold Panning, washboard laundry, butter churning and other pioneer chores, gold panning, old time music or games including “Can you Spot” items that will be placed throughout the property.

Experience what life was like in the early days of the Conejo Valley with costumed docents guiding you through history and highlighting special items and antiques. Several exhibits are augmented with new QR code signage, offering “Virtual Tour” video enhancements via your smart phone.

Guests will appreciate the beautiful four-acre property, designated by the City of Thousand Oaks as Historical Landmark No. 1, built in 1876 as the Grand Union Hotel, the Stagecoach Inn Museum Complex boasts a one-room schoolhouse, Carriage House (stagecoaches), working Blacksmith Shop (on most Saturdays), Pioneer Home, California Adobe, Chumash Exhibit and Village, Heritage Oak Grove, Rose Garden, and for those with a sense of adventure the Nature and Heritage Farm Trail.

In addition to Saturdays the Museum is now open Wednesdays from 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm


Catch a Stage and visit our indoor /outdoor museum offering something for everyone. The museum is open Wednesdays and Saturdays 1:00-4:00 and we suggest allowing at least an hour for your visit.  Typically, only the INN is open for indoor tours on Wednesdays with guests able to wander around our beautiful 4-acre property.

The Stagecoach Inn Museum welcomes visitors on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 1:00-4:00 pm  

Masks are required for indoor tours. Regular admission is $7 per person; children 5 to 12 are $5 (card or exact cash please). Children under 5 and Conejo Valley Historical Society (CVHS) Members are free. Annual CVHS Family Memberships may be purchased online or at the door for as little as $50.  

Stroll through the Gift Emporium while shopping for historical books, unusual gifts and handcrafted items such as candle holders, planters and wine racks made from our century’s old oak tree to blacksmith forged horseshoe hearts and barn hooks.  



The original Stagecoach Inn, the Grand Union Hotel, was built in 1876 at the southwest corner of what is now Ventu Park Road and the Ventura Freeway and is now designated City of Thousand Oaks Landmark No. 1.
