There's over 16 rides and midway games with lots of fun for all ages and yummy food available for purchase too.
I took my boys to Conejo Valley Days last Saturday Night, we arrived just before sunset, the weather was perfect, there was plenty of parking and we had a great time. My youngest won a cute stuffed dog playing playing the balloon dart game, he also played basketball but walked away empty handed from that one. This was their first time going and they had a blast. I have to give a shout out and thank you to Conejo Valley Days and Kastl Amusements for hosting us. We are most definitely going back for more Family Fun this week so we can ride even more rides, I know as some point I'm going to have to get on the Hyper Loop.
The first thing my youngest said when we pulled in was that he wanted to ride the Farris wheel, it's the first thing you see as you're driving up. My response was "sure, but you're going by yourself, I'm not going." Yeah, well I ended up riding the Hy-5 Ferris Wheel with him after all, #MomLife - I was doing OK till I looked over my shoulder and the whole bucket started to rock, yikes. It was fun and I got some great photos while I was up there. My youngest loved the Pirate Island obstacle course - twice. Then we walked through Mardi Gras, it's two stories with a glass maze on the bottom and fun house mirrors up top with a slide to exit. We also rode the Cliff Hanger round and round and round. Afterwards we visited the Mister Softee Ice Cream truck, it was sooo yummy. I had the foresight to get my son's ice cream in a bowl but had no idea I should have don't that for myself too, lol. I had a chocolate, chocolate dipped cone and since it wasn't hot out I though I could manage without making a mess, boy was I wrong, it was very tasty though.
If you are wondering what there is to do I can share that there are plenty of rides for everyone in your family, from the littlest of littles to your thrill seeking teens you will not be disappointed. If you are hungry or need a quick snack there are lots of options too. The Grand Burger offering burgers, hot dogs and fries, then right next door you can get a Dole Whip. The main concession stand that's all covered with colorful flags has all the typical carnival fare including Funnel Cakes. All the way towards the back is the Mister Softee ice cream truck right by the Giant Wheel, you can't miss it.
In case of an emergency you can visit the Ventura County Medical Explorers - Post 911, they are providing First - Aid at their booth, they also have water for sale.

From the Press Release:
Thousand Oaks, Calif. Conejo Valley Days (CVD) will be a carnival-only event this year. CVD will run July 8th through July 11th and July 14th through 18th at Conejo Creek Park South (Janss Rd. 23 Freeway). CVD was cancelled last year because of the pandemic. This year, it was moved from its normal May dates to July.
"Planning and coordinating CVD was difficult because there were so many unknowns," says Frank Akrey, Conejo Valley Days president. "We were able to work with Kastl Amusements, our long-time carnival partner, to provide a carnival experience for parents, kids and teens. We don't have our live entertainment, vendors or community food booths this year, but we hope CVD will bring members of the community together and provide a place to have fun and enjoy carnival rides, games and food."
Kastl Amusements will bringing over 16 rides and midway games to CVD along with traditional fair and specialty foods. "CVD is normally a four-day event over one weekend," says Akrey. "This July, it will be over two weekends so there will be plenty of room for everyone to spread out and enjoy themselves."
