Get ready for a berry good time at the 38th Annual California Strawberry Festival! Happening on May 18th and 19th at the Ventura County Fairgrounds, this family-friendly event celebrates Ventura’s rich strawberry heritage, packed with delicious strawberry treats, exciting activities, and live entertainment that you won't want to miss.

What's in Store:

  • Strawberry Delights: Indulge in chocolate-covered strawberries, strawberry-topped funnel cakes, strawberry nachos, deep-fried strawberries, berry kabobs, strawberry tacos, smoothies, strawberry beer, and more! Don’t miss the Strawberry Shortcake Experience where you can create your own dessert masterpiece for just $5. With over 50 food and beverage vendors there is something for everyone to enjoy.
  • Live Music: Enjoy performances from 22 bands playing reggae, Latin, rock, country, and R&B across two stages.
  • Strawberryland for Kids: Visit the family fun stage with nonstop music, magic shows, puppet performances, and the Berry Baby Fashion Show where little ones can flaunt their strawberry-themed outfits. Plus, tackle the Ninja Nation obstacle course for all ages!
  • Artisan Market: Browse unique creations or original works from 150 artisans, including paintings, sculptures, ceramics, children's toys, photography, textiles, outdoor furniture, jewelry, and specialty foods.

🍓 Fresh Strawberries:

Take home the freshest strawberries grown in Ventura County, available in 3-packs, half trays, and full trays. These juicy berries are some of the best in the world!

A Rich History:
The festival pays tribute to California’s billion-dollar strawberry industry. Ventura County’s unique coastal environment makes it ideal for growing the luscious fruit. This beloved event began in 1984 and has grown into a cherished local tradition, recognized for its community programs benefiting education, the arts, and youth. The California Strawberry Festival is a nonprofit organization run by an all-volunteer board. Through the years, participating nonprofit organizations have raised over $5 million.

  • An estimated 1.5 million strawberries will be consumed over the two-day festival.

  • General Admission: $15
  • Seniors 62 and over: $10
  • Active Military with ID and Family: $10
  • Youth ages 5-12: $8
  • Kids ages 4 and under: Free

Parking and Transportation:

  • Onsite Parking: $20 per vehicle - Parking is limited
  • Free Shuttles: Running every 15 minutes from locations in Oxnard and Ventura
  • Metrolink Special: $10 day pass, good for unlimited rides and up to three kids (17 and under) riding free with each adult fare - The station is located next to the fairgrounds.
