The Conejo Recreation & Park District presents its 2018 Summer Concerts in the Park series at Conejo Community Park, 1175 Hendrix Avenue, Thousand Oaks. Concerts are FREE! Bring your blankets and picnic baskets. Concerts begin at 5 p.m.The park is large and has a great play area nearby. Refreshments such as hot dogs, popcorn, snow cones, etc. are available for purchase. CRPD asks that you leave your pets at home for this series.
Queen Nation kicks off the summer concert series on Memorial Day, Monday, May 28. Paying homage to the golden age of vintage Queen concerts, Queen Nation’s production preserves the images, sounds, and stage personas while performing Queen’s greatest hits, including such fan favorites as “We Will Rock You,” “Bohemian Rhapsody,” “We Are the Champions,” “Another One Bites the Dust,” and “Killer Queen.” Sponsored by the City of Thousand Oaks, the show is preceded by a Memorial Day “Taps” Tribute featuring Jonathan Dane on trumpet.
PLUS: ConejoRPD Flies to New Heights! This year’s Memorial Day Celebration will feature five vintage T-34 Navy planes conducting three flyovers during the concert. Pilots include Michael Maloco, Marc Russell, Michael Hohls, Jon Russell, and Ronny Alldredge; coordination provided by Jerry Burkhardt.
