Spring Conejo Hunt -The Hunt Continues! Current – June 12th The HUNT continues all spring though June 12 when we kick-off Summer activities with our Annual Pioneer Jamboree. Guests can return Saturdays 1-4:00 to see how many rabbits they can find, organize their own competitions with friends, and have some good old-fashioned fun while enjoying the complete outdoor museum experience. A map for marking bunny sightings is included upon request with General Museum Admission and over 25 rabbits may be found throughout the complex including the Nature Trail, Rose Garden, Timber School, Carriage House, Blacksmith Shop, Pioneer Home, California Adobe, Chumash Ap and at the Inn. Designated by the City of Thousand Oaks as Historical Landmark No. 1, built in 1876 as the Grand Union Hotel, the Stagecoach Inn Museum Complex also boasts a one-room schoolhouse, Carriage House, working Blacksmith Shop, Pioneer Home, California Adobe, Chumash Ap and dedicated, knowledgeable volunteers and docents.
For those wanting to experience what life was like in the early days of the Conejo Valley. Several exhibits are augmented with new QR code signage, offering “Virtual Tour” video enhancements via your smart phone. The Emporium will also be open, offering books, specialty historic items, unique gifts, and crafts made by our blacksmiths, woodworkers, and other volunteers.
The Stagecoach Inn Museum welcomes visitors back for a safely socially distanced outdoor museum experience, Saturdays from 1:00-4:00 pm. $7 per person (card or exact cash please). Conejo Valley Historical Members are free. Annual Family Memberships can be purchased online or at the door for as little as $50. Masks are required, and social distancing will be practiced.
