Notes regarding time
This is an approximate start time from OPHSDescription
This annual event is know to the Oak Park Community as "the Boat Parade!" This neighbor made, volunteer run parade will be coming through select neighborhoods in Oak Park - see map below. They depart from Oak Park High School on Kanan Road about 6 pm - rain or shine. If you haven't been it's a lot of fun. FYI: Santa has been known to make an appearance most years.
Macaroni KID Tip: They have been know to toss out small candies or toys so be ready to catch them - My kids bring a bag or bucket. If the parade doesn't visit your street Deerhill Road in front of Deerhill park is a great place to watch, there is plenty of sidewalk and you get to see the parade twice as they head up and then down the hill.
If you are wondering just what this is, here is an older video from 2011

Find a spot along the route - listen for the music and you will know the parade is near.
Macaroni KID Tip: I like to watch from Deerhill Road in front of Deerhill park, after the parade passes cross the street and wait for it to come by again for twice the fun. There are two parking lots at the park if you are not close enough to walk.
Route subject to change: this is an older map and they might not visit all the streets listed. I heard the don't go down Sabra and go from Kanan to Medea Creek Lane, but this is unconfirmed.
