Bring your kids, bring your towels and lunch or snacks - get ready for some cool FUN! The Splash Pad at Oak Canyon Community Park is open daily, it's located next to the tot playground. Prepare to get soaked! There are some benches and a few picnic tables next to the splash pad, consider bringing a blanket or chairs just in case they are not available, there is plenty of room to sit on the grass. The big kid playground is located nearby across the walkway and down the stairs from the tot lot, you'll find two large the shaded picnic pavilions nearby.
- FYI: Let your kids know the water is on a timer that needs to be activated periodically. The water will cycle through each play feature automatically shutting off afterwards, if you rub the sensor on top of the blue pedestal near the outer edge of the water play area it will start again - see photo below.
- Macaroni Tip: Bring shade, a blanket or chairs - the shade can be sparse around the splash especially in the middle of the day, and nearby benches can fill up quickly. Visit late afternoon if you want to avoid the crowd.

Just show up dressed to get wet! Consider water shoes or flip flops in case the cement is hot. If the first parking lot is full you can drive up the hill to the next lot and walk down to the splash pad. There is also a parking lot near the entrance at the bottom of the hill by the duck pond, but it's a little bit of a walk up to the splash pad. Come ready to get wet - suggestions wear a bathing suit and bring towel, sun screen, hat, food, snacks and water.

Oak Canyon Community Park: Just north of Kanan Rd., find this park by taking the asphalt path from the south, Hollytree Drive, or from the north, Bromely Drive. Located next to the Oak Park Community Center and Oak Park Lagoon, this park has two large pavilions for your picnic needs, features a kid's splash pad for those hot summers, and it's connected to the Oak Canyon Dog Park via a short walk west. A trail, the Oak Canyon Park Trail, surrounds the park.
