Notes regarding time
This is an approximate start time leaving from OPHSDescription
Get ready for Oak Park's beloved 25th Annual Boat Parade — a festive tradition that lights up the community streets every year! This neighbor-created, volunteer-powered parade will wind through select Oak Park neighborhoods, starting from Oak Park High School on Kanan Road around 6 PM — rain or shine.
π Bonus: Keep an eye out—Santa has been spotted joining the fun in past years!
Macaroni KID Insider Tip:
Bring a bag or bucket! Participants often toss small candies and toys to the crowd — my kids love it. If the parade route skips your street, head to Deerhill Road near Deerhill Park. It's a prime spot with plenty of sidewalk space, and you'll catch the parade twice as it goes up and back down the hill.
View the route map below and don't miss this unforgettable holiday tradition!

FREEHow
Find a spot along the route - listen for the music and you will know the parade is near.
Macaroni KID Tip: I like to watch from Deerhill Road right in front of Deerhill park, after the parade passes cross the street and wait for it to come by again for twice the fun. There are two parking lots at the park if you are not close enough to walk.
Route subject to change: this is an older map and they might not visit all the streets listed. I have confirmed they do not go down Sabra.
