Ever have a strawberry tart tossed in your face? Wholesome family fun abounds at the 28th Annual CALIFORNIA STRAWBERRY FESTIVAL getting underway May 21 and 22, 2011 at Strawberry Meadows of College Park in Oxnard from 10:00a.m. - 6:30p.m. Among the nation’s top outdoor events, the Festival serves up a menu of delectable strawberry delights and amazing foods from 40+ booths, along with concerts on two stages, 200+ Fine Arts & Crafts booths, the Strawberry Promenade with cooking demonstrations, and more.In your face entertainment is what the Strawberry Tart Toss and Strawberry Pie Eating Contests are all about. And a special oasis for youngsters, Strawberryland For Kids, has free rides and attractions and all day entertainment with jugglers, clowns and puppeteers. Proceeds benefit 20+ local non-profit organizations, so dig in! Be sure to omit the traffic by hopping on the free park n ride shuttles from convenient locations off the 101 Fwy.
