Fall is here, and it’s the perfect time to Find Your Family Fun at the pumpkin patch! π Whether you're looking for something cozy and close to home or ready for a full-day fall adventure, this guide will help you discover farms, pumpkin patches, and seasonal festivals in Agoura Hills, Thousand Oaks, Newbury Park, and nearby Ventura and Los Angeles counties that are just right for your family. Many of these spots are also perfect for picture-perfect fall photos, so you can capture all the memories along the way.
| π Pumpkin season is here! We’re updating this guide as farms and pumpkin patches release their 2026 details, so check back for new dates, hours, and activities. |
Get your family ready for a day full of pumpkin-filled magic! Your kids can choose their favorite pumpkins to carve or decorate, wander through fields of gourds, find seasonal décor, and enjoy rides, inflatables, games, petting zoos, and more. Each pumpkin patch, farm and festival has its own charm, making it easy to find the perfect experience for your family.
Whether you're in Agoura Hills, Calabasas, Oak Park, Malibu, Westlake Village, Newbury Park, Thousand Oaks, or any nearby community in Los Angeles or Ventura County, you're just a short drive away from these fantastic pumpkin patches. And if you're up for a full day of family fun, our local farms provide an immersive experience. Imagine your kids feeding animals, riding ponies and trains, and exploring a corn maze - it's a giant playground for all ages!
When my boys were little, we loved to visit the Farm. Your kids can feed the animals, ride the ponies and the train, climb on the hay tower and farm equipment - it's just one big playground. Just don't lose your child in the corn maze like I did . . . lol. There are so many family fun things to do. Before you leave, you can even pick up some veggies for dinner at some locations.
π Macaroni KID Pumpkin Picking Tips: We can have some funky weather in October - it can be freezing cold and blazing hot, and often in the same day. And let's not forget our sometimes rainy weather. If you want to avoid the heat, head out early. Mornings and weekdays are not only less busy, but for sites that charge fees, weekdays typically cost less. Keep your pumpkins inside the house till we get closer to Halloween. You don't want to risk them rotting in the heat or rain if any comes our way, and this also keeps them away from gnawing critters. If we get wet weather keep in mind that some locations may close and if they don't, be prepared for lots of muddy feet.
Publisher’s Note: Please note, there have been quite a few changes since last year! I’ll keep this guide updated as new information comes in, so be sure to bookmark the page and check back often. If I missed one of your family favorites, let me know so I can add it! Contact me
