When is Hanukkah / Chanukah?

It may feel like Hanukkah lands at a different time every year, and you’re not imagining it. Hanukkah follows the Hebrew calendar and always begins on the 25th of Kislev, but those dates line up differently on the Gregorian calendar we use. The holiday usually falls in December, though some years it can begin in late November or wrap up in early January.

This joyous celebration is filled with delicious foods cooked in oil, crafts, songs, prayers, and family gatherings. Enjoy your latkes, spin the dreidel, and light your menorah as you celebrate the Festival of Lights!
